The client has a very well-versed presence in the healthcare sector in France. They wanted an integrated healthcare application development that vertically integrates and directly links all the stakeholders in the healthcare ecosystem at the press of a button.
The designs were intended to be clean and simple, making them user-friendly and enabling better designs with all the many functions under one roof, bearing in mind that the customer is in the healthcare industry and that the users will come from a variety of groups.
The demands of all the stakeholders of healthcare were taken into consideration while developing the application to enable a stronger ecosystem. This holistic healthcare application can be used by:
Doctors
Patient
Nurses

To create an application for a real-time, secure, and integrated healthcare ecosystem that connects all the stakeholders in their healthcare firm to ease their business operation. They wanted a user-friendly application so that patients and their family can easily access their healthcare services and communicate with the doctors as well.
The client was aware of the difficulties doctors and nurses encounter when dealing with a large number of patients, each presenting with unique medical information. The challenge was to reduce the expense of managing health-related data by setting up a central repository to keep patient health records.
To aid this they wanted us to design an application for quick data access, real-time data availability, patient information, and other crucial metrics at the user's fingertips in order to streamline this complex procedure.
The client wanted to have a way to exchange information with practitioners as well as the patient. For practitioners, they wanted to provide knowledge and discuss patients’ health cases with other doctors. And for patients, they wanted a way to keep patients’ families in the loop with the ongoing treatments.
The toughest of all the challenges was complying with regulations. They wanted to ensure compliance with regulations like HIPAA, EU policy, and data breach legislation. To do that we encrypted all the data collected for users to ensure their security.
The client wanted the end product in French as it is their native language. For this, our team had to translate the whole system into French.
For this project, we started by preparing a Roadmap for the app after initial discussions with the client. Since we had strict deadlines we deployed all senior resources including two Nodejs Developers, two react Native Developers, DevOps Engineer, a tester, a tech lead, and a project manager.
We used agile approach with bi-weekly sprints to avoid any miscommunication within the team. We used Jira as a tool for Project Management. After developing all the modules within 6 months, we were able to run successful trials before the deadline.
Amazon Chime was one of the external integration that consumed the major time of the app development to a lack of documentation. Anyhow, we were able to maintain a rapid and feedback-oriented development process which led to successful project completion.
As we went for a cost-effective approach and created a cross-platform application. This also helped our team to deliver the product to our client faster. The end application was delivered in the French language to give a better user experience. The following were the features of the healthcare application.
For Medical Practitioners we have to have an authentic process by verifying them using their License numbers. This was done using actual government data by adding the data manually.
And the other working medical service providers and users were able to log in using their registered mobile numbers.
Applications that respond quickly create a seamless user experience. This miraculous, instantaneous, bidirectional communication behaviour on the app was possible with WebSocket technology. We created two ways for real-time messaging-
We have also integrated a feature to import and export files not only within the app but also to external apps to give a better customer experience.
This was a UI-based feature for doctors to schedule and host webinars and video conferences. We used Amazon Chime to build this feature where doctors were able to send invites and even save and share their video content.
In order to enable faster retrieval of patients’ details upon request, a library of medications was created, which supports document-oriented storage and is simple to scale.
This function was created to maintain a comprehensive record of the patient's medical history, including their symptoms, prescriptions, appointment information, etc.
This allows the system to send notifications to all the users of the healthcare application regarding a message, appointments, webinars, video conferencing, etc.
