Expectations

01 User Account Management

The client wanted us to implement a secure, and interaction user on-boarding flow with OTP-based login and signup. The system allows users to create, manage, and deactivate their accounts accordingly.

02 Rating system

The client planned for the app to provide insights on individuals based on ratings provided by their peers. People can rate a user based on questionnaire specific to their relationship with the individual, after three ratings the average rating will be reflected on the user’s profile. However, if the user has their account set as private they can handpick the users to rate them and will also have control over approving the ratings before reflecting them in their profile.

03 MIS(Management Information Systems) or Admin Panel

The data-driven and interactive Management information system would enable aboutME360 managers to manage user accounts and information, view the progress of the application, and answer disputes. It would serve as a link of communication between aboutME360 and its users where they can directly provide detailed feedback on the app’s functionality.

04 Consistent UI across Platforms

To implement consistent user experience and smooth navigation the app’s UI should remain consistent across all the platforms. To achieve this goal our team used similar UI components for Android, iOS, and web apps.

Process

Our team built the aboutME360 web and mobile app from scratch, using PHP, Bootstrap, Swift, and Kotlin. We took the Hybrid Project Management approach and started with Product Designs to freeze the requirement and then started development using agile methodology.

We held regular catch-ups with the aboutME360 team to ensure that the progress aligned with our client’s goals and aspirations. To ensure aboutME360 reaches every user we created separate mobile apps for both iOS and Android users.

Rating calculation algorithm

The Rating calculation algorithm was implemented to help aboutME360 showcase average rating after the user is rated by three individuals consecutively. It will fetch the rating for every question and provide a net average for each metric along with other criteria's. Individuals can re-rate a person after every six months which will be automatically fetched to calculate the new metrics.

Suggestions Algorithm

The implementation of the suggestion algorithm helps the user to sync their contact book with the abouME360 app and find their contacts in the app. The algorithm further enables users to connect with users in their organization and their common contacts.

Search Algorithm

The search algorithm helps aboutME360 users to find people individually and from a specific organization, view their overall ratings, and connect with them.

Sharing Sticker

We also created Sharing sticker that dynamically generates a sharable image of the user’s profile sporting their top 3 skills. This allows users to share the ratings and showcase their skills across social media in an intuitive fashion.

Deep Linking Implementation

To empower aboutME360 users to easily invite their peers for rating them we made used deep linking for sharing the profile links. This ensured app links can be accessed across all platforms. To achieve this functionality across platforms we created and tested many code snippets but nothing worked for all platforms. Then we finalized Branch.io to achieve deep-linking across all platforms.
